- The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics is dedicated to establish a healthy relationship between nutrition, and lifestyle. It aims to provide the highest level of nutrition care and also educate patients towards achieving a long term goal to maintain a lifelong healthy lifestyle.
- Disease can result when the balance among all of the foods and nutrients we take or avoid is disrupted. Health can be restored once we begin to take in the proper essential balance of foods and nutrients such as vitamins and minerals. Nutrient related disorder can also be cured once nutritional balance is achieved. GNH Department of Dietetics and Nutrition helps the patients to understand the need for therapeutic diet which is prescribed by the doctors based on their clinical conditions. The primary purpose of this department is to provide a well-balanced, nutritionally adequate diet for each patient.
- The body requires carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, and minerals to maintain healthy organs, bones, muscles, nerves, and to produce hormones and chemicals which are necessary for the proper function of organs. Vitamins and minerals are naturally occurring substances that are essential for the growth and function of the body. By altering diet patterns one can maintain a good health and avoid many health disorders like diabetes, cardiac diseases and more.
